O’Meara Farm, an active adult community located in Farmington, Connecticut, received a prestigious national award for the Best of Senior Housing Design – Small Active Adult Community from the National Association of Home Builders in 2000.
O’Meara Farm is a community of detached single-family homes clustered in a New England community/village concept. The homes feature single-level living with two bedrooms and two bathrooms on the main level. The cottage style homes, the colors, picket fences, perennials, landscape plantings and streetscape are coordinated to foster a New England Village. The architecture features richly detailed exteriors with columns, window peaks, shutters, architectural roof shingles, wide corner boards and extensive classic trim detailing.
